Replacement of two fan systems providing 470,000 cfm to floors 10 to 23 of this historic building.
Modular fan array system using FANWALL TECHNOLOGY allowed contractors bring 72 fan cells up to the 23rd floor using a dolly. The cells were moved outside onto the sub-roof where they were hoisted onto a scaffolding catwalk and moved into the mechanical room on the 24th floor through a temporary hole in the wall.
Retrofit completed over weekends and holidays with little or no interruption to normal operations.
Tenants and building management now benefit from a much quieter system, redundancy to avoid downtime, and VAV control on each floor to improve overall system performance.

Replacement of two air handler fans (101,000 cfm each) serving floors 1 to 18 that were beyond their service life and required continual maintenance.
Goals met with replacement included using the same space, minimum disruption to tenants, lower maintenance, a quieter system, better efficiency and redundancy to avoid downtime.
Modular fan system using FANWALL TECHNOLOGY allowed additional system changes to better improve system performance.
Energy consumption savings of 80,000 kWh resulted in an $11,000 rebate from Pacific Gas & Electric.

platinum rating.
The Governair custom designed HVAC system on this next generation building is 39% more efficient than standard office systems, contributing to an overall 28% reduction energy consumption.
This 4-stage air filtration system circulates 30% more outside air than required, making it capable of turning over the building’s air every 51 minutes and resulting in the removal of over 90% of airborne contaminants.

Virtually the entire Eaton-Williams product offering was used for the Met Office’s purpose-built, environmentally friendly building in Exeter.
To meet the building’s requirements for efficient cooling and optimal air distribution, no fewer than 20 Moducel LKS air handlers, 40 Moducel IPAC units (20 serving each IT hall), and Series 600 chilled water and DX units have been installed. In addition, Vapac humidifiers, commissioned by EWS and Colman floor grilles, louvers and diffusers were also specified and used throughout the building.

system – 9 FANWALL cubes in the supply unit (55,000 CFM) and 4 cubes in the return unit (33,000 cfm) at 5” TSP.
System delivers lower acoustic levels, increased airflows, and improved airflow through coil and filters.
